We’re proud to be Chicago’s Bank and, with that title, comes great responsibility. That’s why we don’t just claim to be a part of our community; we’re actually here serving it.
From our CEO to our bankers, the Wintrust family supports and encourages service within our communities. Every member is always willing to go above and beyond, lending a helping hand to children, families or individuals in need.
Recently, our partners at the Chicago Yacht Club asked if we would like to volunteer for its annual Special Needs Cruise. And, without hesitation, our team hopped on board.
Every year, the Yacht Club hosts its parade-style boat cruise for adults with developmental and physical disabilities. And, on June 21, we joined the club. The Cruise kicked off at the Chicago Yacht Club, located at 400 E. Monroe, where we had the opportunity to enjoy lunch with guests from Good Shepard Manor, Misericordia, Helping Hands Rehabilitation and St. Mary of Providence.
We then assisted participants on board the yachts, where we had great conversation and smooth sailing. In all, there were 230 guests and 20 boats cruising from Monroe Harbor to Alder Planetarium and Navy Pier.
We’re so glad that we could participate in such a meaningful event and meet some truly amazing people. Thanks to all of the individuals and organizations that made this trip possible!
